GST Compliance Checklist for Meesho Sellers

A running checklist of what to keep on top of as a GST-registered Meesho seller, beyond just filing GSTR-1 on time.

Filing GSTR-1 on time is the visible part of GST compliance — most of the actual risk sits in the smaller, easy-to-forget items around it. This is the running list worth checking each filing period.

Every filing period

  • GSTIN status is active — a lapsed or suspended GSTIN can block your Meesho payouts, not just your filing.
  • B2CS entries match your actual settled orders, not just the order list — cancelled-before-shipment orders shouldn't be included.
  • CDNUR credit notes are entered for every return and cancellation from the period, not just the obvious ones.
  • HSN summary reconciles against your catalog's actual HSN codes — a wrong HSN code on a listing shows up here.
  • Place-of-supply data is correct per order — this determines IGST vs CGST+SGST and is easy to get wrong on a manual entry.

Less frequent, easy to forget

  • Reconcile GSTR-1 against your books (or Tally) at least quarterly, not just at year-end.
  • Check whether e-invoicing thresholds apply to your turnover, since requirements can change as you scale.
  • Keep TCS (tax collected at source) deducted by Meesho reconciled against your GSTR-2A/2B credit.
  • Review HSN codes on new listings before they go live, not after the first sale.

Most of this checklist is exactly what Profiko's Tax Center automates from your Meesho reports — B2CS, CDNUR and HSN summary generated together each period, instead of assembled by hand from separate exports.
