Meesho GSTR-1 Filing: Step-by-Step Guide

The actual filing workflow for GSTR-1 from your Meesho reports — B2CS, CDNUR, and HSN summary — once you're GST-registered.

This assumes you're already GST-registered for your Meesho account — if you're not sure whether you need to be, start with our GST registration guide for Meesho sellers first. This one walks through the actual filing steps once registration is done.

1. Pull the right reports

Download your GST/tax reports from the Meesho Supplier Panel for the filing period — these are separate from the plain Order Report and contain the tax-relevant fields (taxable value, GST rate, place of supply, HSN code) GSTR-1 needs.

2. Build the B2CS entries

Most Meesho sales are B2C, so they go into B2CS (business-to-consumer, small) — summarized by state and tax rate rather than invoice-by-invoice, since individual buyer GSTINs aren't involved. This is the bulk of the return for most sellers.

3. Handle CDNUR for returns and cancellations

Orders that were invoiced and later returned or cancelled need a corresponding credit note (CDNUR — credit/debit note, unregistered) so the tax liability is adjusted correctly. Missing these is one of the most common GSTR-1 mismatches for marketplace sellers.

4. Reconcile the HSN summary

GSTR-1 requires an HSN-wise summary of outward supplies — quantity and value per HSN code. This needs to tie back to your catalog's HSN codes, so incorrect or missing HSN codes on listings show up as errors here.

5. File on the GST portal

Once the B2CS, CDNUR and HSN summary sections are built, they get uploaded to the GST portal (directly or via a JSON upload, depending on your filing method) alongside any other outward supplies from other channels you sell on.

Profiko's Tax Center generates the B2CS, CDNUR and HSN summary directly from your Meesho reports — and a Tally-ready XML export — so steps 1 through 4 happen automatically instead of manual CSV reconciliation every period.
