Meesho Commission Rates: How They Actually Work

Commission on Meesho isn't one flat number — here's how the category-based structure works and where to find your real rate.

Meesho's seller commission is charged per category rather than as one flat percentage across the whole platform, and the exact rate for a given category can change over time. Rather than quoting specific percentages that may already be out of date by the time you read this, here's how the structure actually works and where to find the number that applies to you right now.

Why commission varies by category

Categories with different margin profiles, return rates, and competitive dynamics are priced differently by the platform — a low-cost, high-RTO category is generally treated differently from a higher-value, lower-return one. This is also why a single "average commission" number is close to meaningless for planning your own pricing.

Where to find your actual rate

Your specific category's commission rate is listed in the Meesho Supplier Panel, typically at the listing or category level — that's the authoritative source, since rates are reviewed and can change. Don't rely on a number quoted in an old blog post or forum thread, including this one.

The number that actually matters for pricing

The published commission rate is only part of your real deduction — shipping fees and RTO risk stack on top of it, and none of those three show up as a single number anywhere in the seller panel. The number that should drive your pricing is the settled amount after all three, per category, from your own order history.

Profiko calculates this automatically per order from your actual Meesho reports — real commission, shipping and RTO combined, by category and by SKU — instead of a single published rate that doesn't include shipping or returns.
