Meesho Seller Commission & Charges Explained (+ Free Profit Calculator)

A full breakdown of Meesho's commission, shipping fees, and return charges — with a worked example — so you know exactly what an order actually settles for.

Meesho's seller commission isn't one flat number — it's a mix of a category-based commission, a shipping fee, and conditional charges that only apply to returned or RTO orders. Most sellers know commission exists but have never actually added up what it looks like on a real order.

What gets deducted from an order

Shipping feeEvery shipmentWeight slab and zone
Return/RTO chargeReturned or undelivered ordersWhether it's RTO, customer return, or damage

A worked example

Take a ₹499 order. After category commission and the shipping fee, a typical settlement might land meaningfully below the order value even when it's delivered successfully — and if that same order comes back as RTO, you can end up with a net loss once the product cost is included, having paid for shipping in both directions with nothing sold. Multiply that across a catalog and a month, and it's easy to see why total revenue and total profit can move in different directions.

Why a spreadsheet calculator only gets you so far

A one-time commission calculator is useful for pricing a new listing, but it can't tell you what actually happened to the 400 orders you shipped last month — commission rates and shipping slabs vary by SKU, and RTO is unpredictable order to order. To know your real number, you need the actual settlement data Meesho pays out on, not an estimate applied uniformly across your catalog.

Profiko reads your real Order Report and Payment files and applies this breakdown automatically to every order — commission, shipping, RTO loss and ad spend — so you see actual profit per SKU instead of a one-size-fits-all estimate.

Pricing with your real margin in mind

Once you know your real post-deduction margin per category, you can price new listings to protect it instead of just matching competitors — especially in categories with a higher RTO rate, where the listing price needs to absorb more return risk than a category that ships and stays delivered.
